The sewing threads of high quality leather goods should be knotted by hand. At the end of the sewing cycle the needle thread must be pulled by hand to enable the work to be removed from the machine. This is time consuming and harmful to the hand of the machine operator. This device was developed to fit to the front cover of the bartacking machine; it pulls off the correct amount of thread at the end of the sewing cycle.
The system automatically holds the needle thread tension open while the pull off device operates avoiding needle breakage.
The system pulls only the correct amount of thread minimizing wastage.
