How to improve the capacity of an automatic pattern sewing machine?
Normally there are only two solutions. 1. Expand the sewing area; Expensive. 2. Buy a bigger machine; Very expensive
This attachment may be fitted to an unmodified machine. The work holding cassette can hold 2 components instead of one. When the first pattern is finished the work holding device moves (indexing) to the second position, then the second item is sewn. The two items need not be the same or they may be a left / right mirror image. This means the whole job can be completed in one "hit" giving sufficient time for a second cassette to be loaded, thereby reducing machine stoppage time to a minimum.
This system enables both sides of a shoe to be completed in one hit.
The operator now has sufficient time to load a second cassette.
