When sewing heavy labels or patches such as a jeans waistband label it is very difficult to position it accurately.
Due to the rigidity of the label and the contour of the waistband it is not possible to apply sufficient pressure using a normal flip-flop label clamp attachment. This is because applying too much pressure will prevent the flip-flop horseshoe from pivoting causing needle and presser foot damage.
This attachment solves the problem by using a retracting pressure plate. In addition the plate can be partially lowered when loading the label to allow final alignment. This enables the sewn line to be matched to a printed line on the label. After the clamp has retracted any other pattern may be sewn in the centre of the label, or a zigzag over-edge stitch is also possible.
Available to fit Brother BAS-311G machines.
This system enables a printed line or label edge to be set parellel to the sewing line.
Additional stiching can be programmed in the centre of the label
