4 Wheeler Detail
Windscreen frame formed from 16x16x3mm aluminium
channel. the bottom rail is machined from 50x16
aluminium bar. Side supports are cut from 10mm sheet.

 The comfortable seat is fully adjustable and easy to make using parts salvaged from a Ford Fiesta.

 Spare wheel carrier, welded up from 1.5mm steel sheet. In this example the fog light is mounted on the top plate of the carrier and is visible through the wheel spokes.

 The engine cover is fabricated from 5mm thick aluminium sheet, MIG welded inside ond out.

The rocker covers are machined from aluminium bar.

 The headlights, indicators and front cycle wings are all supported by an extremely ridged triangulated structure comprised of oval steel tube and 10mm thick aluminium plate.

 This photo shows the arrangement of the cable system to operate the carburettor accelerators and chokes. This system allows the standard Citroen accelerator cable and universal motorcycle cables to be used.

 Here you can see one of the twin Dellorto PHBH carburettors mounted on extended inlet manifolds.

In this example the dash is cut from a solid piece of walnut, All the instruments and switches are period Smiths and Lucas. The wiring of these is greatly simlified by the HJS designed "ELECTRONIC LOOM"

 This is the ELECTRONIC LOOM which features:
All outputs are switched by heavy duty automotive relays and fused.
A solid state circuit controls the turn indicators; hazard indicators and wiper motor deley.
This allows a simple single pole switch to be used to operate the hazard warning lights.

 The exhaust pipes are in formed from 40mm x 1.5mm steel tube, the flanges are brazed rather than welded for neatness and to provide more clearance for the extended stainless steel dome securing nuts.

 The body frame incorporates this over tube for mounting the upper seat belt fixing points. This arrangement complies with current minimum fixing height regulations without looking out of place.
The body design also provides generous luggage space for those sunny weekend trips!
